The Norwegian Jewel cruise ship, with 2,000 people on board, sailed off the port of Pago Pago, American Samoa, after receiving permission to refuel before departing for Hawaii, on Wednesday.
Footage taken from onboard the ship shows the passengers rubbing their hands after using a sanitizer before a meal, followed by the ship’s departure from the port.
Previously, several ports in the South Pacific reportedly denied access to the cruise ship due to fears of coronavirus, including French Polynesia, Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand.
