Nice for taking us on a trip with you through Tokyo … Hello from Vienna/Austria …
Awesome!✌️
The river running under Nihonbashi bridge is not Kanda-gawa river but Nihonbashi-gawa river. It's funny that the river is named after its brige, but it's true.
Oh they will remove the overpass over the Nihonbashi? Oh that is lovely, that overpass is really not a pretty sight.
The criminal irresponsibility of people travelling at this time is truly unbelievable. In Italy doctors have to triage and forced to make very difficult and painful decisions as who lives and who dies. And yet, these selfish self-centred fools are not only willing to kill themselves but also other who they may infect.
Really like your walking tours. Nihonbashi is a lot more interesting than some of the guidebooks make it sound. You should do Tsukishima next!
Shogun was one of my favorite reads. Thanks for taking us to something I dont think I would have ever found otherwise. I'll put that on my list of things to see on our next Tokyo trip!
I want a vlog on ' dango' could you do it
Fix your microphone…its annoying in middle
Hi from Belgium , Normally , i will be visiting Japan April 25 , and Only in Japan is very helpfull …….
@35:38 I laughed when you couldn't figure out how the car elevator worked and logistics of moving cars around. Keep it up John 🙂
With regards to that very, large tree that you found. Given its proximity to the building and its height, it's more likely that it is not original to that spot and had rather been transplanted to that location using a really, Really LARGE Scale Tree-Spade, the size found only on the trailer tail ends of Semi-Trailer Class Industrial Tree Baller/Spades. After it is lowered into the location, the tree is rigorously watered for a quite a few months to allow and promote root growth for up to a year before they go ahead and add lighting and paver-stones around the structure like you have there. = – )
Thanks for a nice walkabout Jon.
You stay Genki there. Been looking at your videos looking forward to go Tokyo on Wednesday. But as of last night, in Singapore, Govt announcement officially any on who is to return from Japan will face 14 days quarantine and advised all citizens to defer all non-essential flights… guess can only enjoy Japan through your videos… Thanks John…
You should wear mask.
How is it that a country that is so rife with vending machines like Japan is, and yet you never seem to see anyone filling them or indeed see them ever being filled or serviced. How do they do it? WHEN do they do it? Video's on it! Please!!! = – )
Please, please do more walks like this one. It has been too long since I’ve been to Japan. I miss it so much. Try Bintje near the TCAT Centre.
Ahhh! I wish we could join you right about now. Our government here just shafted us due to COVID-19 as they have just closed all K – 12 levels of school from now until the end of the school year apparently. So now we have all of our kids to worry about now too during the school days. Everyone will automatically graduate to the next school grade with what-ever mark they current have achieved up to this point (grade 12's will still have to take their diploma exam's but that's it. It's game over for us. Wish we could go to Japan for the next five months and really take in the sights and sound of before, during and after the Olympics with you. (anyone with a spare 6,000,000Y kicking around for travel expenses for me and my family?). = – )
Very interesting to see Tokyo as a pedestrian.
try it john. do it!!
Thanks for using the map at the end to let us know where you traveled. I plan on being there in December and will hopefully take that same walk.
I love the walking tours!! I’ve missed quite a few (I’m sleeping 😴) but I always watch later on. 😃😃
Won't it create some traffic problems if they remove that part of the highway?
Hello from Atlanta, GA! 🇺🇸💛 Nice channel.
great stream, although all those notions of history made me realized how much precious time I'm losing watching the streams, no regrets though, but deeply inspired by the narrator, and developer, from now on I'm thinking of reading an studying even more than I normally do, it's easy to get sort of lazy with pre-packaged, anglophone versions of realities, stay safe and keep up the excellent work, have no fear
I love it when I get to have a flashback to November being in japan. I was remembering the mystery gift vending machine, then you walked over. I ended up with a yellow girls wrist watch, and a child’s spring toy. I think we slipped a good $50-100 American in every machine we passed! 😂👍
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍واو
That Tenmatsu Tempura that you are standing outside of 6:11 is amazing!

Hi! I have a small history lesson for you I'm afriad 😀 Shogun was written by James Clavell as a 'love letter' to Japan and it's based on the life of William Adams who you genuinely visited and is a real person! Blackthorne isn't quite William Adams but he's close as the story was adapted from his story 🙂 Please look up the book "Samurai Williams" by Giles Milton Which is the actual story of the man and his life as far as it could be found out, it's just as fascinating as the fictional adaption! 🙂
Love you channel, this made me wince a little though 🙂
