In this vlog we’re exploring more of the incredible South Island of New Zealand. Making our way from Queenstown we’re heading North to take one of the most popular hikes in New Zealand, known as the Hooker Valley Walk.
The drive there took us through some of the best views in the South Island, snow capped mountains and so much greenery. The Hooker Valley walk is epic as well – it’s not just about the journey because the views over Mount Cook and the lake at the end were perfect.
As we mentioned in the video, Mt Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand. It’s height, as of 2014, is listed as 3,724 metres so it often can get hidden behind the clouds. We had a bit of a mixed view at times but the snow surrounding us and the South Island views are unforgettable regardless of cloud.

We're living in strange times — we hope you and your family are safe and well wherever you are! Like everyone, we've had to compromise a lot and that means slowing the release of all of these videos. Aiming to get an update video out to you guys soon. In the mean time, watching any of our content you haven't seen yet (or want to rewatch) of course helps keep our channel afloat. Stay safe out there and we'll see you again soon ❤️
will you ever return to Poland? Wroclaw and Zakopane are waiting for you 😉
I literally laughed out loud when Dane actually bought the hat 😂 I mean what was he supposed to do with Stacey wearing his 😄
Awesome trip!
I love a Bacon & Egg pie, available in Oz too, I don't blame you Stacey for hating the hat
Loving this New Zealand content! I've always heard NZ was beautiful but had no idea that it looked like THIS. Hope you guys are keeping safe and can't wait for more content from you guys as always.
Forget the haters…..You guys are always an inspiration with your beautiful and informative vlogs. I’ve been following your travels for a couple of years now and always look forward to seeing the latest edition. The New Zealand ones are particularly stunning, such a beautiful country. Stay safe especially in the present climate and I hope to see many more of your travel vlogs in the near future.
I hope the global meltdown reduces these nonsense channels
"Noodle legs" – that definitely would have been me on that bridge! Quote of the video is: "A couple of avo shelves just ready to pop" 🙂 🙂 As for the hat – you are in good company cuz I bought one just like that to do a trip into the Sahara when I was holidaying in Tunisia back in the late 80s. It was excellent for keeping the sun off your neck. Kinda stylish too 🙂
Hi Guys, did you go to the Fairlie Bakehouse for a pie (or two) on your way to Christchurch?
Wouldn’t mind getting stuck in nz, looks amazing! Great videos lately, really liking them. Check out josh james kiwi bushman channel on yt when you get a chance. If y’all did a collab it would be hilarious😜. Highly considering nz after the virus stuff subsides. Stay safe!
Like the style of ya vlogs. Typical laid-back humble kiwis. Mauri ora! Mauri tau! Kia rawe ō kōrua haerenga!
Why is it called Hooker Valley? Are there hookers there? 😂
Hope your good. In lock down here in ~Ireland. Thank you for that wonderful uplifting film. Stunning. Stay Well
I feel like your accents are getting thicker with every NZ vlog you guys are doing
Was here 2 weeks ago, absolutely gorgeous 😊
Where are u from??
Thought the views where beautiful until I saw Danes hat😂 Stay safe in these weird times guys
Don’t think the hat really serves its purpose. It’s blowing around everywhere.ha. So hard to imagine it being so warm and to look at those beautiful mountains with snow on them. Stay safe. How’s NZ doing with the virus?
Where I live (Puerto Rico) many people use that type of hats to work around the garden and farms, because yeah, it protects the front and the back of your head and neck from the strong sun. My parents have a few in different colors! So wear it with pride!! (ᗒᗨᗕ) …sorry Stacey… ꈍ .̮ ꈍ
BTW, I absolutely love that AirBNB!!!
I am sure in reality all these will look even more surreal! 😭 Great video you guys. Stay safe!
We did this walk on our last trip in Sep 19 and LOVED it. Certainly the most scenic walk i have every done
