I never have been upgraded while staying at a Marriott with Gold Elite status. Just stayed for two nights in Atlantic City NJ and got nothing even with 22 stays this year with this brand.

This video just illustrates how amazing a perk Diamond status is with the Aspire card. The Bonvoy Brilliant should give Platinum status with 25K spend or something along those lines.

When I double checked via the application status line, I was told I would receive a letter in 7-10 days. What would this mean?
Hey Seppy, I already hold an Amex Plat. and I'm looking to get matched for M life rewards by doing getting status match with Wyndham. In order to keep the new status match with M life rewards I have to do 8 stays (not 8 nights) with Wyndham or can I do with Hilton?
I know someone who went down every morning, checked out and checked back in just to get multiple stays in the same stay. I guess it depends on who is at the counter and if they've had their coffee yet.

Sebby hope you are able to upgrade the ascend, I want to do that straategy as well if it works to have two aspire cards. Used the weekend night at the Hilton all inclusive in Playa del carmen which is around $500 a night and also used the resort credit in the same stay. That paid for the card's annual fee.
