Helsinki is preparing for future challenges with innovative urban planning. Sustainability has long been a determining factor in Finland’s architecture, where wood is a favored building material. The Amos Rex Art Museum – recently awarded the “Oscar for Museums*” – demonstrates the city’s forward-leaning commitment to creativity. Other leading sites that help make Helsinki a thriving city for arts and culture are the Oodi Central Library, and the Kamppi Chapel.

What went on in that tiny chapel gave me some star trek flashbacks.
I was in Helsinki recently.. It was great.. Especially the library..
They look like vampires 😦
Equal life for everyone..
Crime rises in full freedom
I was the one who created the Wikipedia article on it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helsinki_Central_Library_Oodi

Amazing city! We don't have anything similar in Russia
Without a doubt the most exiting 'modern' mid-size city in the world at the moment. like a jewelry! Price level is not bad at all (if alcohol price in restaurants is excluded) being the cheapest Nordic country by miles. I recomment you to go and visit before it is too late!
Yea, here we'll hear rosy stories of 3rd world country again… I am a native, and could tell the untold, horrendous side of this hellhole country for anyone willing to hear, just hit me a message. BEWARE. This marketing campaign has been going on since 2016. Search the internet for foreigners' experiences (100% horror), even though alrogitms hide most of the information. The truth is, 40% of population are degenerate alcoholists/drug addicts/severely mentally ill. It's world record percentage (I have seen +40 countries and NEVER came across to such amount of not-normals). And those who don't belong to that, have milder, but still very noticiable mental health problems. These problems are due to the fact that Finns are extremely poor population, whose salaries are the worst of western countries, overall taxation being highest as well as price level. You can check data from OECD if you will, ain't lying here. My sincere wish is this. If you know anyone planning to travel here (nothing to see or do, that is what all foreigners say) or due to whatever reason, planning the worst mistake ever, moving… please share my warning. Living conditions are the same than in poorest countries – a perfect equivalent to Moldova (sorry Moldovians).
I really enjoyed the voice of the female pastor. I would fall asleep with her voice.
We were recently in Helsinki and absolutely fell in love with the city and the Finnish people. There were wonderful moments of culture and the arts everywhere and Oodi Library was truly a revelation.
That looks like a great time!
